I took a chance on this one, spending a few bucks on the off chance that my hunch about the make up of the extender antennas was right. I certainly couldn’t return it after I’d ruined it… Anyway, it DID work very well, and became another popular Instructable. If you have any older 802.11b cards, you can use the antenna off of that to make one of these and see for yourself the difference it can make. the b and g cards use the same antennas and frequencies. The firmware, hardware, and protocols are the only difference.
